Jean-Claude Martinez, Chairman

Mr. Jean-Claude Martinez is currently employed at Sofinnova Partenrs. He is the Chief Operating Officer at Esmertec K.K. Mr. Martinez has been Chief Operating Officer at Esmertec AG since March 2004 and also serves as the President of Esmertec’s Mobile Operator Division. He has been Interim Executive Vice President of Sales at Esmertec AG since July 3, 2006. Mr. Martinez has been President at Cellicium since February 2006. He has over 20 years of international sales, marketing and strategic development experience in the IT industry. Mr. Martinez served as the Chief Executive Officer at Esmertec AG, from July 3, 2006 to December 1, 2007 and as its Interim Chief Executive Officer and Interim Chief Financial Officer, from May 18m 2006 to July 3, 2006 and Senior Vice President of Sales. Prior to joining Esmertec, he was Vice President, Sales for the European, Middle Eastern and African markets at Bitfone. Mr. Martinez served as Vice President, Sales EMEA at Openwave, where he developed the sales and partner structure to cover the European, Middle Eastern, and African markets. He served as General Manager with several international companies including Global Knowledge Network AG, from 1998 to 2000 and Riva Hugin Sweda AG, from 1995 to 1998. Mr. Martinez holds a Business Administration degree from Ecole Superieur de Commerce et d’Administration des Enterprises.

 

Lars Pedersen, CEO

Dr. Lars Pedersen is CEO of Commprove, a company on the move with employees excited about empowering mobile network operators to improve their financials and drive more revenue from mobile broadband data.
Prior to joining Commprove, Pedersen was CEO of InnovFocus, a US-based management consulting and M&A firm. Before InnovFocus, he was CEO of RESON Inc., a sonar equipment company as well as Deputy CEO of NetTest A/S. At NetTest A/S, he participated in a successful management buyout, a company turnaround and subsequent sale to Anritsu. At Anritsu, Pedersen was President of the Anritsu Instruments Group and a board member of Anritsu A/S.
Pedersen has over 19 years of experience in the telecommunications industry in various general and senior management positions in the OSS/T&M industry. From his research experience, he holds patents in optical test equipment and in sonar equipment.
Originally from Dybvad in Denmark, Pedersen holds a PhD in Optical Communications and a Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering both from the Technical University of Denmark.

 

Dominique Pitteloud

Dominique Pitteloud has served as a Director since August 2008 and Chair of the Compensation Committee. Dominique is a Partner at Endeavour Vision and has been working in venture capital since 2001. Dominique focuses on investments in the internet, communication and cloud computing sectors, specializing in wireless technologies. He has led or co-led investments in Kobojo, Amplidata, CommProve, where he is a Director, as well as Staccato Communications, Media Lario Technologies, Sphera, eProject, Native Networks (sold to Alcatel) and M7 (sold to BEA). Dominique is also an independent Director with Sequans Communication (SQNS), a prior investment of Vision Capital, and an Advisor with ASSIA, a leader in DSL management solutions. Prior to venture capital, Dominique was Vice President of Marketing at 8×8, a Silicon Valley telecommunication company. Dominique joined 8×8 in 1999 as part of the acquisition of Odisei, a telecommunication start-up from Sophia Antipolis, France. Prior to Odisei, Dominique held various engineering and management positions at Logitech, a market leader in computer peripherals, including Vice President of the scanner and video camera business units. Dominique received a BSc degree in Telecommunications from the School of Business and Engineering Vaud, Switzerland and a MBA from Santa Clara University, USA.

 

Alberto Sanchez Navalpotro

Alberto is a Partner at Jolt Capital. Jolt Capital is a fully independent Private Equity investment firm focused on mid-size European Technology companies with revenues between 10M€ and 100M€. The firm was founded in 2011 by Philippe Sereys de Rothschild, Jean Schmitt and Alberto Sanchez Navalpotro. Among the deals concluded by Jolt Capital: Heptagon Advanced Micro Optics, Softonic and Inside Secure.
Before Jolt Capital, Alberto was Investment Director at Gravitation, Charles Beigbeder’s family office, where he managed legacy holding companies and led several minority investments. Previously, he was founder and CEO of Papam, day-care centers for elderly. He started his career as strategy consultant at Kaiser Associates in London. Alberto holds a MSc in Business Administration and is PhD candidate in Economy from Universidad de Alcala de Henares (Madrid) and holds a post-graduate degree from ESCP business school (Paris/Oxford).

 

Friedrich Bornikoel

Friedrick Bornikoel joined TVM Capital in 1987. He has more than 25 years of experience in venture capital and has been a Managing Partner of TVM Capital since 1997. His investment activities focus primarily on companies in the following sectors: software, industrial applications, design and planning tools, telecommunications and semiconductors. He serves on the board of various portfolio companies and was a member of the board of the German venture capital organization BVK from 2003 – 2007. Prior to joining TVM Capital, he managed a large program of public R&D grants administered by the Federal Minister of Science and Technology (BMFT) in the area of advanced microelectronic components and sensors based on fiberoptics, integrated optics, and semiconductor technologies, as well as related design methods. Prior to joining BMFT, he was a project leader at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Technology in Munich. Friedrich Bornikoel earned his master in physics (Diplom Physiker) at the Technical University of Munich.

 

Enrico Andreini, CTO

Enrico was one of the original founders of CommProve and remains actively involved on a day-to-day basis directing the company’s technical strategy as Chief Technology Officer. As architect of the Netledge/Quantiqa system, he made the design choices which have given CommProve its technical competitiveness. He has a deep knowledge of radio engineering with 20 years of experience in the field, having started his career in QoS monitoring of TV broadcast signals.

 

Margaret Rice-Jones

Margaret Rice-Jones has more than 25 years experience in complex, high technology businesses operating at a global level. She has significant experience in managing both large enterprises and growth companies, especially those supplying complex solutions and services to business customers, mergers and acquisitions, international/channel expansion and development of leadership teams. Previously Margaret was CEO of Aircom International a private equity backed business. Prior to this she was Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Motorola Networks’ Core Networks business and Regional Manager of Motorola Networks EMEA, turning around the business and achieving significant sales growth for the business unit. Before returning to Motorola, she was a Member of the Board of Psion PLC and Managing Director of Psion Computer Plc. Her career also includes senior positions within De La Rue’s Smartcard Business and Motorola’s Device Business. She holds and engineering degree from Durham University.
