TIM Brazil Turns to CommProve
Assisting Delivery Of Optimum Network QoS
CommProve strengthens its presence in Latin America by installing network monitoring systems into TIM’s Brazilian mobile network.
6th January 2005 – CommProve, the providers of innovative and effective solutions for real-time Quality of Service monitoring of 2G, 2.5G and 3G networks, today announced that TIM Brazil, a leading GSM operator, has selected CommProve to monitor its mobile network performance.
TIM Brazil, who currently has over 13 million subscribers, will deploy systems from CommProve’s agile and flexible Netledge™ portfolio over the next few months. CommProve’s technology will carry out 24/7, real time network monitoring to identify and report on potential network glitches that can effect overall quality of service delivered to TIM Brazil’s subscribers. By identifying areas where TIM Brazil could, unwittingly, providing unacceptable network QoS, CommProve’s solutions will help the operator deliver an improved service to its subscribers, take steps to reduce churn and drive increases in ARPU.
“The Brazilian market continues to grow along with the QoS expectations of our subscribers. It is therefore critical that our network performs at optimal levels to meet these expectations”, said Sergio Schinaia, Network Manager, TIM Brazil. “CommProve’s Netledge solutions help us to make these QoS guarantees to our subscribers whilst ensuring our network infrastructure not only remains robust, but has the flexibility to react to increased network traffic and the introduction of new applications.”
