CommProve strengthen its commitment with Cell C in Africa

CommProve is today announcing an extension of its partnership with one of South Africa’s leading mobile network operators (MNO), Cell C. CommProve’s network management solution will be deployed across Cell C’s network by the end of the year, assisting the operator to provide better quality of service to its more than 16 million subscribers.

Most of the potential issues MNOs face can be avoided using preventive measures, before they become service affecting. That is why CommProve is providing Cell C with an effective and viable solution to drive its Quality of Service forward.

“The new CommProve deployment will extend the capabilities of Cell C’s existing solution to provide IuB interface monitoring and Radio Access Network Insight. This will provide Cell C with a proactive solution and a troubleshooting tool, with a complete end-to-end view of KPIs, KQIs and user behavior,” said Darren Harding, CommProve’s Territory Director.

The approach is to gain efficiency in daily network planning/optimization activities and to detect critical areas/cells of the radio access network. The CommProve IuB monitoring deployment will provide a first level of root cause analysis for solving radio related failures, whilst at the same time having details of the individual users under analysis during the activity period monitored.

“The RAN Insight solution, coupled with the already deployed network management solution from CommProve, will provide Cell C a very powerful 24/7 network monitoring solution at their fingertips and a way of managing network quality, network capacity and customer satisfaction, this will help Cell C further strengthen its position within the market,” said Lars Pedersen, CEO of CommProve.

“The pilot period with this system has proved exceptionally valuable to Cell C and we look forward to being able to use this solution to improve our quality of service to the customer,” said Cell C CEO Jose Dos Santos.
